Are you ready for some greasy action?

          

    One of the most famous restaurant in DLSU is Zark's Burger. It is located just in front of DLSU Henry Sy hall in the Archer's Nook Building. Its menu consist of burgers which range from the price of 125 to 500 which showcase their big meat patty. One of their famous burger is the Tombstone which is popular because of the tombstone challenge where a person needs to finish the meal in a span of 10 min. 

    

  

   Their greasy burger is their specialty and showcases it with their motto "the greasier the better." Their burger is indeed larger than the average burger found on fast food chains. It's burger also have some spices to it that makes the burger tasty. One of my favorite burger is the breakfast burger which is topped with 1/2 pound patty, bacon, and egg. Also with their serving of burgers you can include fries which is in big cut and deep fried. It is certainly a place where balance meal is not recognize.

     The main problem of their burger is also their strength, the burger composition. Their burger is to fatty and oily which is not a very good for the health. Also its calorie rate is high because of the amount of servings. I'm not going to encourage you to eat here regularly because it can cause health problems. Also the serving time in this shop is slow so if you are on a hurry, I suggest you just go on a fast food.

      Overall Zark's Burger is an okay place to go. It's ambiance is good with their TVs and friendly service crew. Also their food is also good eat and a nice change of pace if you are eating healthy. If you are ready for some greasy action, go and eat at Zark's!

A new take on music

Panic! at the Disco

    

    Panic! at the Disco started their band in 2004 in Los Angeles. Seeking to be different from their contemporary band in their city, they tried to think outside the box and created their own music and send it to Pete Wentz ,the Fall Out Boy bassist. This mark the change on their life and they become one of the  hot selling band in the year 2005 to 2007.

    Their music is mostly consist of baroque pop, pop punk, alternative rock, and emo pop. Their first album, A Fever you can't Sweat out, became popular because of the music, I write sins not tragedies, which became famous in Youtube. People like their music because of its new techniques like using piano, strings, and accordion with their pop punk style of music. It can also be noted that they also use electronic dance punk in order for their listeners to have a changed of pace when listening to their music. This what make their music iconic to anyone who listen to it.

     

    The band's downfall is the members different take on music. It can be seen clearly in their second album that their is a major difference of style of music. In their album, Pretty Odd, they discarded their pop punk style of music to make way for classical rock. These major changes hurt the band because of losing its own continuity. This also made the fan very  confuse of what is happening to the band, but after some members left the group, they reverted back to their old style of music.

     Panic! at the Disco is one of my favorite band because of their good music. I recommend this band to anyone who wants to hear a unique style of music. Some of their best music in my opinion are I write Sins not Tragedies, Trade Mistakes, and Bittersweet.

Iron Man 3, did it live up to its hype?

           

               Iron Man is a successful movie trilogy based on Marvel's character Tony Stark.The news about the third Iron Man movie quickly became a trending topic on the internet with the hype supporting it for being a great movie trilogy. In Iron Man 3, Robert Downey Jr. reprised his role as Tony Stark, a genius playboy millionaire who dons the suit of Iron Man. In this movie his main villain is The Mandarin who is one of his arch nemesis in the comics.

                  This movie touched the main character anxiety attacks because of his past experience in The Avengers . It could be suggested that this is a new style of portrayal for Tony Stark who is arrogant and confident  in the past which makes the character more vivid than before. It is also the first movie who starred a child sidekick who help Iron Man regained his confidence. In a sense this movie is more kid friendly by giving a new character for children to relate. It can be seen as a gamble because some portrayal of kids become irritating for being dependent to the main character which they handled quite nicely. One can also see that they really put more effort on the comedy side which makes it easier to take some of its dramatic moments. It could be suggested that Shane Black did a good job retaining this movie trilogy's glory while adding his own techniques to improve the quality of this sequel.

                The problem with this movie is the portrayal of the Mandarin itself. Mandarin here become nothing more like a dummy rather than one of the most strongest enemy of Iron Man. It can also be suggested that this movie become more child friendly and Tony Stark as someone who is arrogant and a playboy, Limits the possibility of this portrayal for his character. The Extremis arc is a good story but it is not as good as the comic version which give birth to Extremis version of Iron Man suit. This suit is use for combating the Extremis Terrorist which overpowered Stark just like the movie.

                    Anyway, Iron Man 3 is a good movie even with its flaws. The portrayal of Tony Stark by Robert Downey Jr. is great with his witty one liners and, the love between Pepper and Tony is delved in even deeper. Overall it is a solid movie and I recommend it to all my readers who wants to experience a good action movie from 2013.
